26 Dec Review: OMEDI Hand Care – Antibacterial Hand Cream (Aroma, Lemongrass & No Scent)
As a kid I often imagined and wished for cars that could fly, and phones that could play movies. The latter became a reality in the early 2000’s which we have innovators and businesses to thank for the development, production, and dissemination of such combinative technology. Essentially, these were once imaginary combinations, of everyday things that already existed with an added quality of life function, such as flying for the normal everyday car, or even watching movies inside of a car while driving which seems so mundanely normal in today’s day and age.
Omedi has once again brought the imagination of combining a function with an already existing thing to life. No, this isn’t a toilet that plays the radio or a clock that dispenses water. Omedi has the well-being of worldwide consumers in its heart and lifeblood. Much like “something cool here”, Omedi has devoted their research into developing a moisturizing hand lotion with the added function of virus killing antibacterial properties.
An interesting thing about Omedi Hand Care is its amazing antibacterial properties. Unlike sanitizers where the virus killing alcohol dissipates into the air quickly and you’re left with gooey residue, Omedi Hand Care’s cream formula is 99.99% sanitizing whether it’s inside the bottle or outside coated on your hands, completely and totally different from alcoholic hand sanitizers. First of all, Omedi Hand Care is Alcohol Free. The virus and bacteria killing element of this special hand lotion does not come from cheap alcohol that evaporates almost instantly. The antibacterial properties last 100% effectively until the date of expiration, which means you are not only sanitizing your hands from bacteria you previously touched, but with Omedi hand Care you are now protecting yourself from bacteria before AND after you sanitize your hands.
These days are truly brutal for your hands. A normal day would consist of washing your hands with soap, exposing it to the winter air, and using alcohol containing hand sanitizer just within the hour of washing your hands with soap. Most of us are frequently using hand sanitizers, unfortunately forced into such situations when dealing with multiple people each day. The alcohol from the sanitizers are drying out the skin on your hands, allowing them to age faster and lose its once healthy texture.
Omedi has developed the Advil for the headache of a jumble in our bags and purses these days. From wipes, sanitizers, to lotions, just the thought of rummaging through the bottles to find the one I need triggers my pet peeve. Simplicity does not mean minimal in this case. Simplicity means the ingenuity of being able to become concise for optimization of one’s quality of life. Not only does Omedi Hand Care add virus killing properties into naturally formulated moisturizing lotion, but Omedi Hand Care actually takes the sanitizing function of your sanitizer and combines it with your lotion, thereby effectively reducing an extra element from your handbag or purse. Subtract an extra element if you carry antibacterial wipes around because Omedi Hand Care efficiently works as a hand wash as well. When you don’t have water or wipes, cleaning off debris and dirt can be a hassle. However, Omedi Hand Care contains natural oils and fatty acids that help remove larger particles from your hands that would otherwise need flowing water or excessive wiping.
Aroma Scent Antibacterial Hand Cream
Omedi offers their first scent variation of the Omedi Hand Care lineup, the Aroma Scent Antibacterial Hand Cream. This hand cream is approved by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety and passes all strict certification requirements required by the industry’s regulations. The Ultra Hydrating effect is provided by exotic extracts sourced from aloe vera leaf juice, rosemary, green tea, grapefruit, and thief’s wand. By the way there is no alcohol in this sanitizer, which is infamously known for wicking and drying out skin especially during the winter. So how does this formula disinfect and have the power to eliminate harmful microbials? The main antibacterial ingredient is Benzalkonium Chloride, an Ethanol (Alcohol) alternative that disinfects your hands without irritating the skin like Ethanol does. 99.99% sanitizing, 100% moisturizing, and amazingly effective at removing larger grime from your hands, this hand cream is truly for those who want the protection of a hand sanitizer while not only maintaining, but beautifully hydrating your skin to an illuminating and shining status.
The directions say to apply the cream on hands and rub until fully absorbed, but I didn’t necessarily feel much greasiness or stickiness compared to traditional lotion, even when I used an ample amount of cream and it was blatantly coated all over my hands not fully absorbed. There was a cooling sensation for the first few minutes and the shine lasted for over an hour. Eventually I massaged all the cream into my hands, mostly indirectly from putting my hands in my pocket etc., but I still felt its moisturizing power last until I washed my hands a few hours later.
Lemongrass Scent Antibacterial Hand Cream
While its effect and efficacy remain just as powerful as its Aroma cousin, this Lemongrass version adds a fresh kick of fragrant citrus to the creamy formula. Aiding in the sharpening of your olfactory senses and the senses of those around you, this version of Omedi’s Antibacterial Hand Cream lineup unleashes the vibrancy of fresh lemons and a cool breeze during a hot day. The Lemongrass cream was soothing upon applying it to my hands and provided that same cooling sensation as the Aroma bottle. The coating of Antibacterial cream was visually noticeable upon appliance, however, the added function of such disinfecting power was easily disregarded from my thought process as it provided me the moisture my dry cracked hands needed, which is the core function of this ultra-hydrating emulsion created with all natural ingredients.
Like the previous trial, the cream was non-sticky, non-greasy, and aromatic upon applying to my hands. I recently finished chopping some onions in the kitchen before applying this Lemongrass cream, and surprisingly, not only did the lemon scent mask over the stenchy, lingering onion smell on my hands, but rubbing the cream until full absorption actually removed the foul stench entirely. The difference was obviously noticeable. Although I am not a smoker, I think I would recommend this Lemongrass version of Omedi’s Hand Care for those who fumigate their lungs.
No Scent Antibacterial Hand Cream
Personal care products these days all market their colorfully packaged, catchphrase implemented products with types of fragrances that can only be described as the flavor selection of ice creams in your local Sorbet retailer. From “Blissful Apricots” to “Morning Musk,” the scents and marketing schemes are all too overwhelming for those of us who just want a product that WORKS. Omedi takes consumers needs into full consideration, however niche these desires may be. From customer feedbacks to financially backed research & development, Omedi created a hand cream that does not smell floral or have the faintest hint of chemicals. This No Scent variation of Omedi’s Antibacterial Hand Cream is subtle and unnoticeable yet packs a huge moisturizing and disinfecting punch.
Let me tell you, from dry cracked hands to bleeding knuckles, winter is the roughest time for our air-exposed hands. Forget about its amazing antibacterial properties for now, I want to focus on just how moisturizing this hand cream is. Laziness is what decays your teeth, irresponsibility is what causes long term blemishes. Kick the habit of harnessing such negative traits and focus on your self-care this winter. Like chapped lips that never heal, the skin on your hands are constantly being stretched and contracted from your everyday functions of grasping, typing, etc. Once your knuckles start to bleed from dry, cracked skin, you can never turn back from the miserable itchiness, pain, and worst of all, hands that look like a cat’s scratching board. Knock down two birds with one stone this winter with the moisturizing and antibacterial protection of this unscented hand cream.
